A love note to my fellow perfectionists...😍

I've been thinking about perfectionism a lot lately, because I'm putting together a free workshop that will happen on Zoom in a few weeks.

I've done A LOT of work on this myself, so I was thinking back to what has really made the most impactful differences for me in my journey.

One of those things was learning to give myself PERMISSION.

Permission to do things my own way. Break the rules once in awhile. Not be so afraid to change my mind or do something wrong.

Before, it always felt like I had to wait for someone else to approve my plans or my decisions. Even in my own business, I found myself constantly craving approval from...someone?! I don't even know who!

Working through my perfectionist tendencies has gone a long way towards strengthening my self trust, my confidence, and my general enjoyment of life.

A few weeks ago, I came up with a little "love note" to my fellow perfectionists and I posted it on my Instagram.

I will post it here, too,  just in case you relate to wanting to feel more confident empowered in your own life.

Stop waiting for permission.

As a recovering perfectionist myself, I know that you don’t want to do things “wrong”

I know it feels safer to outsource the decisions and get someone’s approval.

I know it feels safer to do things how you think everyone else is doing them.

I know it feels scary to trust yourself-but that’s only because you’re always so darn hard on yourself and you beat yourself up for each and every blip.

But there is no one out there assigned to your life and responsible for telling you yes or no.

That person is YOU!

You can honor your own process right now

You can run your business how you want to right now

And the permission has ALREADY been granted!

You just have to claim it.
