Are you feeling that New Year energy?
This gorgeous sunset was happening as I typed this up. Thanks Mother Nature!!
First of all, Happy New Year!
How are you feeling going into this New Year?
To be honest, I’m starting off this year feeling a bit behind. December was a rough month for us. Our dog Amos had a surgery, I had a minor surgery, and I was super busy putting together my 12 Days of Embodiment Challenge (that part was fun-just all encompassing). Once we were over the hump of those things, my husband and I got Covid.
The whole month went by in a flash and we just barely got to celebrate the holidays (and my birthday!) at the end of the month once we were feeling better.
I had wanted to take some time before the end of the year to really reflect on the year that just passed, and celebrate what I accomplished. I tend to forget about those things just about as soon as they happen, so it is always helpful for me to really go back through the year and remind myself of the things I did, the ways I grew, the challenges I overcame, and what I am proud of.
Then I like to set an intention for the new year and really envision what I want it to look like.
Now that I’m feeling better and I have all this new year energy, I’m noticing the pressure to do it all RIGHT NOW and so I keep reminding myself that I have TIME.
I can start this process now, even though I wanted it to be done already.
I don’t have to DO all the things I want to do this year right this moment.
I can feel and create “New Year” energy any time that I want to, on any day of the year that I want!
It’s helping me focus rather than spin out and feel that familiar stress of “not having time” to do everything I want to do.
So I’m curious, do you have a year end process that helps you reflect and set intentions? What does that look like for you?
Would you like to do this but things get in the way? Do you relate to feeling pressed for time or like once you have the energy, you have to do ALL THE THINGS!!
Whatever this looks like for you, I'd love to hear about it.
