We are so wrong about this....

As a culture, we really have self care all backwards.

We think it’s this fluffy extra thing we will allow ourselves to do ONCE we’ve worked hard, AFTER we reach the goal or have gotten through the crisis, and WHEN we finally have the time.

In reality, the care we give ourselves is THE THING that allows us to get the results we want, and get them faster and easier.

Tending to yourself and what you need physically, mentally, spiritually is what makes you better at everything you do.

When you only give yourself your scraps of time, thought and money, you’re not able to tap into your full potential. 

You don't see all of the possibilities available to you. 

Once you can see it this way, it becomes a no brainer to invest some intentional thought into your self-care routine.

Everyone's self care plan can and should look different. It's not one size fits all. 

This is what I am helping my clients do in my "Summer of Self-Care" program. If what you are doing isn't working for you (ie you feel drained, resentful and still can't figure out how to "put yourself first") then we should chat.
