A few insights from “Breathing for Life”

I don't know about you, but I hate feeling like I missed out on something! In case that is true for you too, I wanted to share some insights we had in the Breathing for Life workshop, in case you missed it.

The participants found that:

*having a picture in your mind of how everything works together is super helpful for creating easy deep breaths

*you have to create space and time to be really intentional about noticing your breath

*being told to take a deep breath to calm yourself down DOESN’T WORK if you don’t understand how to breathe properly!

I love this quote from one participant:

“You always hear to take 3 deep breaths when you are nervous. But if you don’t know how to take a deep breath or you are breathing wrong, like I have been for a long time, it’s not really helping me. Instead I feel like I might hyperventilate! The tools you just gave us are a game changer!”

After spending the time embodying our breath, we felt physically lighter, less tense and mentally calmer.

And this really gets to the heart of why I love sharing this work and combining it with coaching.

I use the Franklin method experience to help you understand how your body works and create a new and improved physical sensation.

But also, connecting with your body in this way helps you get in touch with yourself and learn more about YOU.

Then from this new and improved physical and mental state, you can start to look at what you really want in life, and then take those practical steps to get there.

Knowing what you want is not that obvious when you’re stuck in the hustle bustle of life, and it’s hard to move forward from a state of constant stress.

If it’s been awhile since you’ve slowed down enough to think about what you want, and you relate to feeling chronically stressed, let’s chat. I love holding space for folks in my BodyMind Coaching sessions to rediscover their dreams. And of course, find more expansive breath!
