How to Move Through Perfectionism
Hi Helen Marie,
Is perfectionism something you struggle with? I think that many of us who consider ourselves to be "high achievers" do, but to what extent can be somewhat individual.
It may flare up in certain situations more than others, or you may notice that it is something you deal with pretty much all the time.
But have you ever wondered...
"What's the difference between perfectionism and just having really high standards for myself and my work?"
It can be easy to identify with being a perfectionist and even secretly take some pride in it. After all, you probably attribute your success at least in part to always striving to do your best.
But, when perfectionism has it's grip on you, it definitely slows down your forward movement, drains your energy and generally erodes your self trust.
There are some key differences between perfectionism and just having high standards or integrity in your work/how you do things.
In my upcoming FREE workshop, we’ll talk about what those points of difference are, and how you can start to use your attention to detail and willingness to do a great job as your SUPERPOWERS versus using it as something that slows you down and makes it hard for you to trust yourself.
