Saying "no" to one thing is saying "yes" to something else...
Quick question...what is ONE thing you are giving yourself permission to say "NO" to this holiday season?
This might be something you kind of dread every year, but make yourself do anyways because it feels like you really should.
Or it may even be something you typically enjoy, but just don't feel like you have the capacity for this year.
Saying no is something I've had to work on a lot both in my business and in my life.
It used to be sooo hard for me! The guilt was unreal and would stop me every time.
It can feel challenging when you are used to habitually wanting to please others, make things work, take advantage of all opportunities, or feel like you are fulfilling obligations to your highest integrity.
But sometimes, you need to have integrity with yourself, too.
And that takes saying no to things that aren't in alignment with your capacity.
I have found it helpful to look at this way...
When we say no to one thing, we are saying yes to something else.
For example...
If you say no to a social event that drains you, you might be saying yes to refilling your cup with some alone time or a fun creative project.
If you say no to overextending yourself at work, you say yes to some treasured downtime with your family.
Any ideas for yourself coming forward? I'd love to hear what you plan to say NO to in the next few weeks, and what that is allowing you to say YES to!
