The grounded, more present version of you is in there, just waiting to come out.
Have you ever wished that you could easily access the calm, grounded version of yourself when you’re at work and things get crazy?
Or do you wish you could be more present when you are at home with your family?
Maybe you can relate to desperately wanting to relax, but you feel unable to turn off your stress.
If you do relate to any of these, I want you to hear this…
Consciously tuning into and shifting your breath is THE FASTEST WAY to shift out of stress, get grounded and calm, and cultivate more presence.
Now, I know you already KNOW how to breathe. You’re probably doing it right now. 😂
But did you know that we breathe differently when we’re stressed?
When our sympathetic nervous system is activated, aka we are stressed, our bodies automatically start breathing in a way that is faster, more shallow, and designed to help us survive.
Normally this would be balanced by a recovery period once the stressful event is over. We would return to slower, deeper breathing.
But for many of us, the stressors just keep coming and we don’t ever make it out of stress mode.
In August I’m teaching a workshop called Breathing for Life- A Franklin Method Workshop, that is designed to give you a clear understanding of how your body creates that full, deep breathing and shift OUT of stress mode.
You will learn how to visualize the mechanics of breathing, which will automatically improve HOW you breathe!
And you will learn how to recognize when you are stress breathing and what to do about it.
This workshop is happening on:
Saturday, August 23 from 11:30am-1pm
On Zoom- learn without having to leave your house!
$47 (but use code EARLYBIRD to save $10 when you sign up before 8/18).
Breathing better will yield massive improvements to your life. I hope to see you there.
